How does the overall art give off the idea that it is creepy and cute combined?

 The color palette gives off a creepy aesthetic. While majority of the designs resembles childlike imaginative art making it cute.

Design 

What makes the game not seem repetitive or bland to keep the player interested in playing the game for a long period of time?

 The platform, pacing, etc. creates a sense of anxiety, fear for the player.

Game play

Does the pace and overall game play makes it easier or harder for the player?

The game play relies on going from point a to point b making it very simplistic.  The pace creates the illusion for the player based on how they are going and how they avoid enemies.
